Laser welding is a welding method that uses high-energy density laser as a heat source to melt materials to form high-precision welded joints. Laser welding is a kind of non-contact welding with small heat affected zone, which is not easy to deform the welding of the object.

Continuous or pulsed laser can be used to realize laser welding. The principle of laser welding can be divided into thermal conduction deep penetration welding and laser welding.

Laser welding based on heat transfer principle, laser radiation heats the surface, and the surface heat is guided by heat transfer to internal diffusion. By controlling the laser pulse width, energy, peak power and repetition rate, laser parameters, such as molten components, form a specific molten pool.

Laser deep penetration welding is usually connected by continuous laser materials. Under the irradiation of sufficiently high power density laser, the materials will evaporate and small holes will be formed
